In this roguelike role-playing video game Shiren will enter a dungeon that is always changing, with unique layouts, unexpected enemies, and objects. Along their journey players must gather weapons to defeat monsters to continue into the mystery dungeon. Additionally, the game adds a special feature that allows players to ask other players for help if they fall throughout their adventures. With this feeature players can pick up where they left off and prepare for the next run.
Shiren and his friend Koppa from the 1996 game “Shiren the Wanderer GB: Monster of Moonlight Village” have just returned from their journey in Tsukikage Village in this game. They had heard tales of a monstrous creature hiding in Serpentcoil Island, holding a significant amount of pirate gold. They both dream of a girl asking for assistance from inside a monster’s belly while traveling together. Now, driven by a feeling of responsibility and a desire to explore, save, and claim their own piece of the riches, Shiren and Koppa headed out to Serpentcoil Island.
